Left Radium around 8:30 and headed up the Trans-Canada Hwy. Continuing spectacular scenery at every turn. Commented on the total lack of traffic on the hwy; it was great!
Got to Golden about 9:30 and had breakfast there, and filled up our rented Corolla.
Carried on and stopped at Rogers Pass, another spectacularly scenic viewpoint. Stuck our hands in the snow (June 11!) and bought some souvenir sleeve patches at the tourist centre.
Then carried on to Revelstoke and found our B&B. This one (Alpenrose) is really nice!
Took a stroll downtown and caught the end of the Saturday farmers' market (it is Saturday, eh?) Lunch was at an Indian booth run by an enthusiastic Indie lady who also owns a restaurant where she serves Indie/German foods based on living and serving food in Germany for 10 years. Chance are really good we'll be doing supper at her restaurant this eve.
More later
Cheers ...k
