Calgary - June 10

It's 4:45 a.m. here and I am up cuz my ol' bod is still on Kitchener time ... Am in a 24/7 Denny's just a 5-minute walk from the motel

Obviously farther north here, it was still daylight at 11:00 last night and is now daylight already even tho the sun hasn't actually popped up yet.

Had a good non-eventful flight, landed at 8:15 last eve. Got to motel around 10 and then came to Denny's for a bite.

Coincidence ... On the plane, sat beside a lady around our age, Janice, from Kitchener, recently widowed who was coming to Calgary to visit her parents-in-law. Turns out she has a cottage about 15 minutes from ours, in Lion's Head. Further, she had once worked at Raytheon and was well-acquainted with a former boss of mine (my best manager ever) who had also previously worked there. We agreed to meet again at the Foodland in Wiarton someday! "It's a small world"

Staying at a convenient Super-8 Motel, and our advice to everyone is: Never again!! To say that it is "OK" would be huge overstatement. Looking forward to some cool B&Bs starting tonight.

It is cooler here, daytime highs around 20, nights around 10.

Tea is done and so am I. Time to trundle back to the motel and try for a few more winks. When Joanne gets up we head out for Radium Hot Springs, approx. 3 hours. Plan to meet up with her aunt & uncle there this aft.

Cheers!
...Karl
